Accessibility statement
We sell accessibility. So it should be possible to read how accessible our own application is – including the places where we are not finished yet.
1. Scope
This statement covers the website and web application doclarity at doclarity.eu, operated by Klartext AI FlexCo.
It concerns the user interface of the service. It says nothing about the accessibility of the documents you produce with doclarity – for those, § 4 of the terms and conditions applies.
2. Conformance status
The application is partially conformant with EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means most requirements are met, while some areas are not yet fully tested or implemented. Section 3 says which.
3. Non-accessible or partially accessible content
We are aware of the following limitations:
- The document editor has not yet been fully audited against WCAG AA. It is the most complex surface in the service – tree structure, page preview and editing dialogs. Automated checks pass here, but a systematic manual audit of the whole interface is still outstanding.
- Manual screen reader testing is not complete. We have built the application structurally (landmarks, heading hierarchy, live regions, labelled controls), but have not yet documented a full pass with VoiceOver and NVDA across every view.
- There is no in-app setting for text size yet. Browser zoom works; a dedicated setting is planned.
- The embedded PDF preview renders the document as an image. Its text content is reachable through the structure view; the preview itself is not.
A contrast setting is already available, and you can switch it at any time anywhere in the application.
If you hit a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us – see section 5. That is the fastest way to improve this list.
4. How this statement was prepared
This statement is based on a self-assessment by Klartext AI FlexCo.
It draws on:
- an automated scan with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rule sets, last run on 14 July 2026,
- a manual source review covering contrast ratios, focus order, landmarks, live regions, keyboard operability and respect for
prefers-reduced-motion, - automated tests that pin individual commitments over time – among them the focus order on upload, the ability to switch keyboard shortcuts off (WCAG 2.1.4), and element-type contrast ratios.
That work produced, among other things: a correction of the secondary text colour from 3.1:1 to above 4.5:1, the addition of <main> landmarks and a skip link on every view, live regions for long-running processing steps, and an off-switch for every single-key shortcut.
An external audit has not yet taken place.
Prepared on 2 October 2026. We review this statement at least annually and after material changes to the interface.
5. Feedback and contact
Have you encountered a barrier, or do you need information in a more accessible form? Write to us:
Klartext AI FlexCo
Lerchenfelder Straße 74/2/7, 1080 Wien
Email: doclarity@klartext-ai.com
Phone: +43 660 81010 67
We reply within two weeks. If we cannot remove a barrier quickly, we tell you when we expect to, and offer another way to use the affected function in the meantime.
6. Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response, or receive none, you can contact the competent body. For private service providers in Austria the Barrierefreiheitsgesetz (BaFG) applies, which implements the European Accessibility Act. The supervisory and complaints body is the Sozialministeriumservice.
Independently of that, the Disability Equality Act (BGStG) route remains open to you; it provides for conciliation proceedings at the Sozialministeriumservice before any court action.
